The Making Indonesia 4.0 initiative was launched on April 4, 2018, by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, in response to the global phenomenon of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto.
In 2020, the implementation of Industry 4.0 also became one of the government’s strategies in the national economic recovery post-COVID-19.
The purpose of this program is to expanding the adaptation and utilization of Industry 4.0 to enhance productivity, efficiency, value-added contribution, competitiveness, and sustainability of the national industry.
